About Me

My mission is to bring stories to life.
Stories about people,

how they live their lives,
how they make decisions.

My philosophy is that

your project is unique,

and that it deserves

the very best.

Every time, without fail.

I come at narration from

a varied business background

in software, healthcare,

marketing, and sales,

and an academic career

in business studies,
engineering, and science,
as teacher and student.

And, as a father of

three adult children
and one (so far)
grandchild.

My credits include
a recent work

about spirituality, several

books as a Learning Ally

volunteer, VO work in the
industrial
and
non-profit worlds,
and radio

news and music.

If you'd like to hear more

bring to your work,

Elevator Pitches for God:
70 One-Page Essays
by Thought Leaders
On Why They Believe

download.jfif

I narrated the 70 essays in this audiobook, a work with far-reaching topics and a variety of writing styles, and with many specialized terms and expressions used by the authors.

Here's a short description of what the book is all about:

"If you ask 1,000 people why they believe in God, you are likely to get 1,000 different answers. This book presents 70 of them. Ron Kardos and Bruce Licht spread their net far and wide, reaching out to thought leaders – including scientists, mathematicians, political leaders, journalists, corporate leaders, artists, radio hosts, and professors – whose positions, perspectives, and backgrounds inform their belief, and whose responses speak to our hearts and minds.

"The writers are professionals in their fields, but their essays are personal. Perhaps no single essay will provide you with all of the answers, but together, they present a compelling argument for why so many intelligent, thoughtful people believe."

An Antarctic Expedition Claims a Victim

From the Diary of Frederick Cook MD

Dr. Frederick Cook served as the physician on the Belgica, which carried out a nearly two-year mission in search of the South Pole, setting sail in 1897.

The vessel and its crew never reached the Pole, and spent the months-long, harrowing Antarctic night trapped in the ice, unable to maneuver the vessel.

This passage from Cook's diary recounts the death and burial at sea of Emile Danco, one of the crew's most beloved members.

An Assassin Hides in Plain Sight

From Destiny of the Republic by Candice Millard

James A. Garfield is the accomplished and popular 20th President of the United States, but in a time of lax presidential security, the general public is allowed uncomfortably close access to the President and First Lady.

Charles Guiteau, whose delusional belief is that he had played a major role in Garfield's election victory, lobbies the president for a consulship as a reward. Spoiler alert - Guiteau later shoots and kills Garfield.

A Marketing Textbook

From MKTG 13 by Lamb, Hair and McDaniel

Now in its 13th edition, this introductory marketing text has been used successfully by me and other sales and marketing faculty to illuminate the basics of marketing at the undergraduate level, and to hopefully inspire some to choose marketing as a major and as a profession.

This excerpt explains the differences between consumer marketing and business marketing, fundamental to marketing strategy and practice.
